HOW DO YOU MAKE MOVIES WITH THE PC-GAME "THE SIMS 2"?
Press the Tab key to enter Cameraman mode. Explore the various camera movements to identify the best angles for each scene. Use the (+) and (-) keys or z and x keys to control the field of vision, and the arrow keys to move forward, backward and sideways. Change the pitch of the camera with the mouse and zoom in or out with the mouse scroll button. The arrow left and arrow right keys will rotate the camera around a point.
If you find an angle that you want to return to often, save it by pressing the control key and the number, from 4 through 9.
Use the V key to start your recording. Direct the action of your Sims as well as the camera angles to get your shot. When the scene is over, press V again to stop recording.
Exit the game and open a video editing program such as Microsoft Movie Maker. Upload the scenes you shot from The Sims 2 and edit them together to create your movie.

It is possible to change the camera parameters, such as speed and camera height and film with smooth edges on by altering the game configuration files.
To get those smooth angles you have to fiddle around in FirstPersonCameras (Documents>EA Games>The Sims 2>Cameras>FirstPersonCameras).
For a little test run, try changing translationsteps and orientationsteps to about 40, or whatever you prefer.
Just make sure you save a backup of the original numbers!

Another Tip:
You can make your camera movements smoother by filming with the slow motion cheat switched on. When you have the scene set and the angles saved, pause the game. Bring up the cheat window by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + C and type: slowmotion 10
Now press ENTER.
You can enter anything between 0 and 10 (10 being the slowest). Filming in slowmotion won't slow down the actual recorded footage on playback, but it will make the game move slower in "game mode".
The benefit to filming in slowmotion, is that it gives your computer more time to render each frame, making the footage smoother. This is especially good when it comes to slowing down/stretching clips in your editor.
