It's an animation hack. Usually animation hacks look like an object in your game (for example like a picture or a box) which you can buy in the Buy Mode and place it on your lot.
If you click on it you will get various options/animations. For example you click on the option "cry" and the selected Sim will start to cry.

Two very useful hacks are the

And the "Hula Dance & More hack" by Squinge 
(It's not an animation-object but a game mod. If you donwload it you don't need to buy an object but you can simply click on the selected Sim and you have some animations which you can choose)

HOW CAN I TURN MY SIM INTO A VAMPIRE?

First of all: You need the Sims 2 Expansion Pack "Nightlife" for Vampires!

Well, actually you have to go to the town with your Sim and search for a Vampire coming across. Then your Sim has to become friends with the vampire and hope that the vampire will bite your Sim sometime...

However I use the hack Vamprotoxin-A 'Essence of Vampire' which you can download from here: http://nene.modthesims.info/download.php?t=125591
Its a potion that turns your Sim into a vampire - very cool, isnt it?

There is another useful hack: the Sim Transformer which you can download from here: http://nene.modthesims.info/download.php?t=283201
This magical picture can transform (and cure) your Sim into alien, zombie, vampire, werewolf or plantsim!

MY VAMPIRES HAVE BLUE SKIN AND RED EYES - YOUR VAMPIRES LOOK DIFFERENT!  
HOW CAN I MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE THAT?

Well, you can use skin replacements. There are many different replacements offered on the internet  for example on the website modthesims2.com

I use the VampireInvisible-skin replacement by TSN, which you can download from here:

This is a completely invisible replacement - no red eyes no blue skin. Your vampire will keep original skin completely.

When I make a film with Vampires I create Sims with pale skin and glowing red eyes  just how I want my Vampires look like  then when I turn them into vampires they keep their pale skin and dont turn into blue vampires.
(The problem is, that normal skinned Sims won't look like vampires when they are bit. So I often have to make twins, one with normal skin and one with vampire skin - for example like in the video "All that Im living for")

However you have also the option to use a replacement which just make more paler skin instead of blue skin. There are many options!

IN YOUR VAMPIRE MOVIES THE VAMPIRE KILLED HIS VICTIM BY BITING.  MY VAMPIRES CAN ONLY CHANGE OTHER SIMS INTO VAMPIRES. 

HOW CAN VAMPIRES KILL?

My Vampires can't kill either. Actually it's just a cutting trick.

I start recording and let the vampire bite the victim. Then I stop recording and leave the lot without saving. When I enter the lot again the victim is still a normal Sim. Now I start recording again and let the victim fall into sleep - what looks like the Sim falls dead. With my editing program I cut the scenes together - it looks like the vampire has killed his victim ;-)

IN ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS ONE SIM HAS HIS HANDS CUFFED BEHIND THE BACK. HOW DID YOU DO THAT?

This now means that you can have your sims walk around, talk, cry etc. all while holding this prop or accessory. This adds some more realism to movies and stories and it was created with this goal in mind. "

AND HOW CAN YOU MAKE A SIM SIT ON THE FLOOR WITH HIS HANDS CUFFED BEHIND THE BACK? 

 This is called an Overlay option. Overlay is a type of animation which is played over another animation or body position. Overlay animations can include all bones of the Sims' body, but usually they are limited to certain body parts. This way, you can 'combine' two interactions into one.

HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SIMS BLEED? (on the floor)

You can find it in the buy mode and when you place it on the floor it will "spread itself out" a bit - you will see ;-)

Now you just have to place a Sim over it and it looks like he is bleeding.
